Nursing confidence + gentle support. Helping people feel safe, seen and at ease at home
With over 20 years’ experience as a nurse, support worker, and nanny, I’ve supported people at many different stages of life. From children needing guidance and reassurance, to older adults requiring dignity, patience, and steady care.
My nursing background brings strong clinical awareness and confidence in supporting health needs. My years as a support worker and nanny shaped the gentler qualities I value most — attentiveness, adaptability, calm presence, and heartfelt connection.
I understand respite care is not just about filling in. It’s about creating safety, trust, and a sense of ease — especially when families are feeling stretched, worried, or overwhelmed.
🎹 Gentle piano to create a peaceful atmosphere
🥗 Nourishing meals, healthy smoothies, and simple clean treats
🎨 Painting and gentle creative activities for connection and joy
Above all, I value dignity, respect, and kindness. Every person I support is treated as an individual, with their own history, preferences, and needs.
If you’re looking for experienced, compassionate respite care delivered with professionalism, I’d be honoured to support you or your loved one.
A few kind words from people I have supported in their homes.
“Leonie supported our family with exceptional care over a 12-month period, providing steady companionship for my mother during the end stage of her life, and supporting my father when needed. She was also responsible for running the household day to day, including meal preparation, groceries, and general home duties.
Leonie has an incredible ability to tune in to what someone needs, always preserving dignity and providing calm reassurance. She helped Mum stay engaged in life through gentle activities and meaningful conversation, and she proactively adapted the home environment to keep her safe and comfortable.
I would not hesitate to employ Leonie again. She is trustworthy, thoughtful, and an asset to any family needing high-quality care.”

With an Enrolled Nurse background and years of experience, I support adults at home, often older adults, with calm routines, dignity-first personal care, and reliable live-in respite.
I provide premium, private in-home support for older adults and families who want continuity with one consistent carer rather than a rotating roster. My work includes live-in respite (1–4 weeks), post-hospital support, wellbeing checks, medication support, appointment accompaniment, social outings, and calm routine-building. I also take care of practical day-to-day essentials like grocery shopping, preparing simple nourishing meals, and keeping the home tidy, so life feels easier and more settled.
Provided stable cover for families during high-stress periods, including illness, recovery, emergencies, or caregiver burnout. Helped maintain familiar routines, supported well-being and comfort, and communicated calmly with family members so they felt informed and reassured.
Supported clients at home with personal care (showering), mobility support, meal preparation, shopping, companionship, and daily routines. Experienced with complex needs including dementia, bipolar disorder, motor neurone disease, and Parkinson’s, with a focus on safety, dignity, and preserving independence.
My approach is calm, professional, and safety-focused. I keep my training current and maintain the checks and coverage families expect when inviting someone into their home.

Many families choose private care for continuity and trust. You deal directly with one consistent carer rather than a rotating roster, and it is often more affordable than an agency because there are no agency overheads.
