20+ years supporting clients with safe, consistent in-home care. Nursing confidence + gentle support. Helping people feel safe, seen and at ease at home. Trusted by families across Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast.
With over 20 years’ experience as a nurse, support worker, and nanny, I’ve supported people at many different stages of life. From children needing guidance and reassurance, to older adults requiring dignity, patience, and steady care.
My nursing background brings strong clinical awareness and confidence in supporting health needs. My years as a support worker and nanny shaped the gentler qualities I value most, which are attentiveness, adaptability, a calm presence, and heartfelt connection.
I understand respite care is not just about filling in. It’s about creating safety, trust, and a sense of ease, especially when families are feeling stretched, worried, or overwhelmed.

A few kind words from people I have supported in their homes.
“I was fortunate enough to have met Leonie a couple of years ago through an agency when she became one of the part time carers for my brother who suffers from Korsakoff’s Syndrome.
I now engage Leonie privately, regularly a few times a year for a couple of weeks at a time for live in Respite Services.
This allows me to have a break me to enjoy some travel whilst I am still active enough to do so.
She is truly amazing at taking care of my brother, I can go away with full confidence that my brother is properly cared for.
Leonie steps in and runs whole show, Shopping, Cooking, Housekeeping, Medical Appointments, Outings and most of all Exceptional Care and Companionship for my brother in a compassionate and friendly way whilst I am away.
Leonie is a “true” professional and I cannot recommend her more highly.”
Rick C — Family Member (brother)
“Leonie supported our family with exceptional care over a 12-month period, providing steady companionship for my mother during the end stage of her life, and supporting my father when needed. She was also responsible for running the household day to day, including meal preparation, groceries, and general home duties.
Leonie has an incredible ability to tune in to what someone needs, always preserving dignity and providing calm reassurance. She helped Mum stay engaged in life through gentle activities and meaningful conversation, and she proactively adapted the home environment to keep her safe and comfortable.
I would not hesitate to employ Leonie again. She is trustworthy, thoughtful, and an asset to any family needing high-quality care.”

“I am pleased to provide this reference for Leonie Curgenven, who has supported my brother as a disability support worker both during her time with Sapphire Supports and again independently for a short period when we were transitioning between providers.
During her time working with our family, Leonie consistently demonstrated kindness, patience, and genuine care. My brother is intellectually disabled and requires assistance with many daily living tasks, including showering, cooking, eating, toileting, and transportation to Endeavour on weekdays. Leonie carried out all of these responsibilities with professionalism and compassion, always treating my brother with dignity and respect.
She was reliable and attentive, and she developed a positive rapport with my brother, which made a meaningful difference in his comfort and wellbeing. Her calm and supportive approach helped ensure that his daily routines were maintained smoothly and he felt safe when she was working with him.
I would confidently recommend Leonie to any future employer seeking a dedicated and caring disability support worker.”

“Leonie Curgenven cared for my son for several months and was consistently trustworthy, reliable, and kind. She supported him with daily care, including preparing meals, and ensured he was always comfortable and well looked after.
Leonie also assisted with transport, taking him to appointments and outings when needed. Her caring nature and dependability gave me great peace of mind.
I would highly recommend Leonie as a compassionate and dedicated support worker.”
